Collection: Livia Dias

Influenced by her uncle Gilberto Dias, who is a professional artist and art tutor, Livia began drawing and painting at the age of 13. Her passion for art has never stopped.

From Old Masters to Impressionism and Contemporary styles, she had the opportunity to learn a variety of media and techniques that have provided her with extensive knowledge and experience to share with her students.

She's been a professional artist and art tutor since 2000.  After nearly ten years teaching in her home country Brazil, where she completed her training in art, she decided to quit her Art Tutor position at Atelier Gilberto Dias in 2009 and experience life overseas. After some research on deciding what country to go, she fell in love with New Zealand's stunning scenery. She and her husband packed their bags and bikes and left for New Zealand.

This move changed everything in their lives and set Livia on the path she is today - helping people discover their potential, develop their skills to paint and create works of art that they are proud of. That also enabled her to work on her own art and be represented by art galleries in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Livia was the head tutor at Art Metro Art School in Christchurch, New Zealand from 2010 to 2019. She had such a great time while there, met lots of students and learned a lot while being in that position. She is so grateful to see her students growing in their art and amazed on how popular and sought after her classes have become along all these years.

Nowadays she has her own studio where she runs workshops and work on her own art and online business. After a great response to her instructional video "Colour Workshop" released in 2013 and the desire to help more people develop their skills, Livia decided to create online courses. More recently she has become a popular teacher through her online courses sold primarily through her teaching website.

Livia had the opportunity to exhibit in several countries with much of her work residing now in private and corporate collections worldwide. She has received several awards and has been featured in magazines and TV programs. She is married with one child, now residing in New Zealand.
