Santie Cronje

Santie Cronje's artistic approach combines sensation, emotion and introspection. Her work explores the dynamic nature of life, shaped by complex influences, memories and the present moment.

Her creative journey started in high school, driven by a natural passion for art. She pursued this passion at the University of Pretoria, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994. After traveling to Europe, she returned to South Africa and later embarked on a transformative sailing voyage that brought her to New Zealand in 1999.

Now based in Tirau, Santie draws inspiration from her scenic surroundings, memories and personal experiences. Her artwork has been showcased in galleries since 2008, and she established her own gallery in 2018. Santie's art has been featured in publications, including 'New Zealand Gallery' and '101 Contemporary Waikato Artists' by Peter Dornauf, with her pieces held in private collections worldwide.
